Among the clouds: 110 years of Přerov aviation. General Janousek and others…
Dear supporters of the Comenius Museum in Přerov,
We invite you to a unique exhibition that will recall the crucial stages of more than a century of history of Přerov aviation: from the takeoff of the first aircraft from Přerov Airport to the recent past. At the same time, the exhibition pays tribute to one of the most important natives of Přerov: Army General Karl Janoušek, whose 50th anniversary of his death we will commemorate in the autumn.
Visitors will be able to see a number of historical photographs, as well as three-dimensional artifacts that served as part of the aircraft and equipment, as well as some parts of real aircraft, coming mainly from crashed machines in the region. Visitors to the exhibition will also find such interesting things as the original ejection seat or an additional tank from the L-29 Delfín aircraft, a high-altitude anti-G suit and the helmet of a jet fighter pilot, etc.
An important part of the exhibition is a collection of more than seventy pieces of plastic models of aircraft, whose models roamed the Přerov skies, assembled by skilled modellers from both hobby modeling clubs and individuals engaged in this hobby activity at a high technical level. Most of the models (over forty) are lent by members of the Tovačov ("Plastic People o Tovačov") and Olomouc club of plastic modellers, through the well-known Tovačov painter "boxarts" (drawings on the packaging of model kits) Zdeněk Macháček and modeller Ing. Mojmír Skopalík. The collection of resin models, mostly modern aircraft, was supplied by the Kutná Hora company HpH models. Other miniatures of real machines were then lent by Ing. Jiří Hadwiger, Petr „Hind“ Kanovský and Radek Zbořil.
We look forward to your visit.
